We are all much more likely to be a bystander than a participant or victim of hateful and hurtful words and behavior. Green Dot teaches safe and proven-effective Bystander Intervention techniques that every member of a community can use, both proactively to change our culture for the better, and reactively to reduce harm. None of us can do everything, but each of us can do our part to make Lewiston-Auburn a safer and more welcoming community.
This is going to be so much fun!! By popular request, we're going to be talking about how essentials oils can be used in cooking. There are a lot of benefits to doing so, including one as simple as they don't lose their flavor and aren't as expensive, in the long run, as their dried herb counterparts. But - this is critical - not all essential oils are created equally and can be safely used in cooking so how do you know what's safe? We'll be mixing up some recipes while we talk and learn, and sampling the results, so come ready to get involved and to snack. Please communicate any food allergies or restriction when you sign up, and we will do our best to accommodate in the recipes selected for the class.

Audet, ERYT-500 will guide students in light stretching to prepare for seated meditation, breathing, exercises known as Pranayama, which help to calm the mind and prepare students for guided meditation practice and meditation practices to cultivate stilling the mind. No prior experience necessary. What to bring: A Yoga mat and a cushion or pillow and a blanket. This 4-week class will be held at Kimball St. Studio, 191 Lisbon Street, Lewiston.
